| The pack's main den is a large enough cave to shelter most of the pack when needed. The pack usually stays in the areas surrounding the den, making it their main camp. The adults try to keep their young in the area, it is the safest place for them, where they can be guarded by multiple members of the pack. Running alongside the den is a small creek, called Cherokee Creek. This is the pack's main water source. If you wish to Rp in this area then just post below. | |

| ☿ R E Y A S ☿ Reyas yawned and opened her stunning emerald eyes. Glancing outside of the den, she saw Brook pacing anxiously. Not sure what had her leader out of sorts, Rey got to her paws and stretched, her fluffy cinnamon-hued tail held out behind her like a banner. The Beta comprehended going outside before she decided to. She's my leader, she's led us through danger, I must try my best to console her. Reyas thought with a satisfied nod, going to see what was up with Brook.
Before the Beta got a chance to do anything, Brook was off, heading in the direction of the Cherokee Creek. With a sigh to herself, Reyas sat down, her multicolored pelt catching golden glints of the sun, lighting up amber streaks in her fur. "What am I supposed to do," Reyas pondered aloud, not checking to see if anyone else was in the vicinity. The pack had been quite quiet for the last couple days, and Reyas wondered if a sudden sickness was rolling around. It wouldn't be the first time.
Deciding to organize a hunt later, as the female Beta's stomach growled, Reyas laid back down, though this time not inside of the den. With her tail curled around her petite body, Reyas tried to get comfortable on a slightly rocky surface, which wasn't hard for her. I'm not picky. The Beta thought. If anyone decided to sneak up on us, I'll be sure to hear them. The fae made a mental note to keep herself half-awake. Watch wasn't Reyas's best idea of fun, but it had to be done.

| Bramble sits down, pawing at the ground slightly. I wonder where everyone has wandered off to... Even though the main den seemed quite a bit empty, Bramble is quite happy with the feeling of being alone. She breathes in through her nose deeply, and closes her eyes. She began to scope out the area for scents. Most of them were unfamiliar to her, or only vaguely reminded her of others. The unfamiliar scents do not cause alarm, because Bramble has yet to meet most of the other pack members.
Bramble would stay in that tranquil pose until someone comes up to the den, or to her.

| Ahora continued along, and limped into the den. Her tiredness cause her to go into a fog, where she failed to look around and notice anything else except a comfortable spot to sleep. She laid down on a cold rock, curled herself into a ball, and fell into a deep sleep. After a few hours, she awoke, smacking her lips. Ahora was fully rested, and alert of her surroundings. Her eyes wandered around the den, then she noticed the the other wolf nearby. She arose to her feet, preparing herself for any pain emanating from her leg. But, barely to none pain occured, and she walked normally over to the stranger wolf. " Hello" She gave a warm smile, " Welcome to the pack, I'm Ahora the fisher."

| Bramble opened her left eye, and turned her head towards the new wolf as she limped along. Deciding she didn't want to bother her, she returned to her meditation. As the time passed, she noticed the wolf coming towards her. "Hello, Welcome to the pack, I'm Ahora the fisher." the stranger spoke, breaking Bramble's sweet silence. "Hello, Ahora, my name is Bramble. Bramble the Huntress." Bramble nodded slightly towards the wolf, flitting her tail slightly. "How was your rest dear?" Bramble had not turned her whole body towards Ahora, but rather kept staring out of the den with her eyes closed.

It's nice to be able to stop and just sniff the scent trails, and listen to the surrounding area." Bramble flicked her ears slightly, "It's like meeting someone, before you ever even see them with your own eyes."

| ☿ R E Y A S ☿ As the trio dragged the elk carcass to the densite, Reyas couldn't be more relieved. She had missed Brook and Ahora, it seemed, though the fae would never admit it. Releasing the elk's leg when they had dragged it close enough to the den, Rey nodded to Brook. A new scent filled Reyas's nostrils, and she looked over with interest. A black and white female she had seen only few times before. Though I can't seem to remember her name... Reyas thought, her black tipped tail giving a slight flick. Ahora seemed to be accompanying her for the meantime, and Reyas would be sure to report back to Brook, but later. For now, the pack needed food, and in Shield and Reyas's case, medical attention. I don't need a medic. Reyas thought stubbornly. It's just a scratch.
The auburn clouds in the pink hued sky had begun to blow away, showing a darkening background. It would be a beautiful night out tonight, clear and filled with stars, it seemed, as little balls of light could already begun to be seen. Rey raised her head and called out to Ahora. "Shield has a slight injury that should be paid attention to." She barked, smiling at the fisher. "We are most fortunate to have you on board, Ahora." Grinning as if it was an inside joke, Rey tried to hide her own injury on her shoulder by backing away, heading more towards the new addition to the pack.
"Hey. I haven't seen you around much, but welcome to the pack anyway." Reyas nodded, then turned her head to look towards Brook. "Whenever you're ready to eat, Rooky. It will be a good night." Reyas was quite sure of that, as her emerald optics swept across the densite to locate Anslo and Shield. Meeting each of their eyes, Reyas inclined her head as if to say: Well done. Sublime acquaintances had been made, but Reyas couldn't ignore the proliferating consternation that something was about to go wrong. Let's hope I'm mistaken.

| Noting the incoming trio, her ears lifted up fully, and she began to stand up. Bramble stretched slightly, before getting fully up.I wonder if my hunting partner is in that group of three... I really should've met him before now... Bramble stared at the elk carcass they had dragged in, causing her to huff a bit out of her nose. The unknown female called out, "Shield has a slight injury that should be attention to." Shield! That was his name! Bramble looked over to Shield, noting he was quite a large timber wolf. So this is my partner... I wonder how he got hurt. Her attention then quickly changed to the other male. A larger grey wolf huh... Looks like he could pack quite the bite.
The female began to get closer to Bramble. Bramble backed up slightly, and began to look over the fae. A nice scent of cinnamon... and her coat has such a warm sight to it... Small, younger even, but she definitely demands a strong presence. "Hey. I haven't seen you around much, but welcome to the pack anyways," she said. Should I introduce myself...? Might as well. "Thanks, my name is Bramble." Bramble pawed at the ground slightly. "Whenever you're ready to eat, Rooky. It will be a good night." said the unnamed female. Rooky? She means Brook... If she can easily call Brook that... hmm...
Bramble sat back down, tail lightly flitting back and forth. Bramble stared back out to the night sky, waiting patiently.

| Bramble turned her head towards Shield, who spoke to her, "Hi, I'm Shield. You must be the new hunter?" Bramble lightly sniffs Shield, flitting her tail back and forth. She recognized his scent from his scent trail. "Yes, I am in fact the new Huntress... I meant to meet up with you earlier. I'm sorry about that." she lightly spoke, and nudged her head towards him. She lightly pawed the ground next to her, motioning him to sit.
Her deep purple eyes stared over the pack. She lightly licked her muzzle, as she stared at the Elk carcass. I don't really deserve it though... I should've been out there. Her ears went back, and she looked a bit defeated.

| ☿ R E Y A S ☿ The multicolored fae raised an eyebrow at Shield, her mouth curved into a half-smile. "I'm fine, it was just a little white-tailed deer's kick, nothing serious." Bull crap, I can see right through you. Rey thought but flicked her tail and looked to the ever darkening sky. With Bramble now on board, they were a pack of six, not large in numbers of wolf packs, but not entirely minuscule. Still, they could use some new recruits. A slight wind blew across Reyas's silky fur, drawing the attention of her emerald optics to the top of the den, where she thought she had seen a shadow. It's nothing Rey, you just have an over reactive imagination. Reyas shook her head and sat down, a few meters away by herself.
"You might wanna take a look at that shoulder of you, if you don't want it to get infected." Shield's voice had said. Rey picked up the slightest hint of emotion, but dismissed it with a shake of her cranium. It doesn't matter. Means nothing. It was kind of nice for someone other than Brook to care, though. Rey tilted her cranium and smirked. "I'll go if you go." She ducked her head though as Shield went to greet Bramble and the others. He's going to have to get that checked eventually. Sighing, Rey picked herself up, avoiding eye contact with the others. "I'm going to go down to the creek, clean out my shoulder a little bit." Rey tried her hardest to keep her voice emotionless and cold, like a stone, but something leaked through. And Rey hated herself for it.
Night was approaching as Reyas reached a wider part of the creek, in sight of the den, and close enough if one was to follow her through scent, but far enough away that Rey had a little privacy. Her emerald orbs rose to the sky, giving a small little howl to the moon that came through the clouds. Laughing in-expressively, Reyas dipped her muzzle into the lukewarm water and drank. She took a glance down at her shoulder, which was now leaking crimson. Growling a little, Rey stepped into the creek and tried her best to clean herself up. Oww... why doesn't this thing just stop bleeding already? Reyas mentally complained. Shield was right... but I don't want to head back... and I most certainly don't want help. Rey set her face determinedly. In the end, nothing but her own stubbornness would harm her.
A small whimper escaped Rey's mouth at the stinging sensation, and suddenly, something came back to her. A memory of her past. Her family had lived in the northern sector of the land, with quite a strong pack. Rey had learned how to fight and hunt there, while her family had been more of a peaceful tribe, healing and creating art. Their howls could be heard from miles away. And perhaps that's what brought them. How I couldn't save her.... and how no one, not even myself, will forgive me. Rey closed her eyes to the world. Right now it was simply too painful. There are worse things, Rey. You have Brook. You have Ahora. You have Shield, and the rest of the packmates that have brought you through this. Rey tried to tell herself. But in truth, being around them could only hurt her more, for Reyas didn't have the power to control her own feelings anymore. The beta of Creekside Shadow put away her emotions and continued to scrub her shoulder, feeling much pain, but blocking it out. Live today, tears tomorrow. | Anslo was relived to be back at the den area, and as he released the elk's leg the warrior took a look around. There was another new face here, a female with grey fur and vibrant purple eyes. He didn't know her, but he caught her name as she introduced herself as Bramble. She seemed friendly, but she was already occupied with Shield, so he didn't go over. As Reyas went off to speak with Ahora and Brook, Anslo moved away from the group and took a seat towards the edge of the area. He was hungry, but he knew it wasn't his place to eat first so he would wait until the upper ranks filled themselves.
However, instead of going to eat, it appeared as though they were focusing on the injured. He scolded himself for thinking of his stomach before their safety. He watched the group, head on the ground. He would be no use to them, seeing how little he knew of herbs and healing. Best he could do was stay out of the way.
But Anslo disliked feeling so useless, and as he watched Reyas walk off towards the creek he wondered if she needed any help. He rose, tailing after her. He kept his distance, and when he arrived at the creek, he saw the beta already in the water.
"How is your shoulder?" He asked tentatively, hoping he wasn't unwelcome. ___ Mentioned: Shield, Bramble, Ahora, Brook Addressed: Reyas

| The hunter sat there thinking a few things over. He noticed Anslo and Reyas leaving, but didn't really take it in. He rose from his position, looking down to his side. He realizes that his ribs weren't healing, but rather swelling fast. A disordered look on his face appeared but he hid it after. He remembers Reyas is injured as well, and trots after her scent hoping to get better luck down at the stream. Water... seriously? Of all the places your could choose, you choose water?! he thinks to himself. He controls his thoughts when he remembered she went to wash the wound. He trots down the hill, trying to hide the pain with every step he takes. He approaches the stream, and sits a few meters from it. He sees the pool of blood in the part where Reyas is rinsing the wound, everywhere around her. That looks quite serious... you should probably have that checked out. he tried to convince her. He looked over his shoulder, seeing the warrior a few steps away from him. he also notices him not going any nearer to the water as well. Of course she wouldn't answer you, Shield, she's the stubborn type. he thinks to himself feeling a bit foolish. | ☿ R E Y A S ☿ The beta of Creekside Shadow turned her head abruptly as she heard a voice. Low, and definitely male. It was Anslo. What the... what's he doing here? Rey thought to herself as she tried to sink lower in the water. She had came here to be alone. Part of her didn't want to the company, and the other part of her didn't want to be alone. Ever again. The first part won, as Reyas stiffened and looked away. "How is your shoulder?" The warrior inquired. Reyas furrowed her brow. Why does he care? Why should he care? And why is he here? The multicolored fae ignored the male, but gave a little shrug. Right now solitude and sociability were fighting with each other in Rey's mind. She wanted to have company, she wanted to like others and have them like her back. But that's not me. I don't need anyone to survive, I've been doing fine on my own, what has to change now?
Another scent drew Reyas's eyes back up, as Shield appeared. Where's the rest of the pack, on their way? Rey thought sarcastically, facing both of the males of Creekside Shadow. Go away, go away, go away... Reyas prayed. Not because she didn't like the two wolves, because she didn't want anyone to see her weak. Her emerald optics betrayed her feelings, and the fae closed her eyes and looked down, forcing her mouth to stay in a thin line. Pain hurts, but it's just a faze. It will pass. "That looks quite serious... you should probably have that checked out." Shield spoke, sitting away from the creek like Anslo.
Why are you even here? Just to tell me something I don't already know? Finally, Rey had had enough, and her instincts overtook her feelings. Her eyes turned cold and the beta looked away. "Why don't you worry about your own complications." Her voice came out stony and dangerous, but Reyas's eyes pleaded otherwise. I don't mean this... but I've been like this for so long... It was like there was another Reyas inside, fierce and hostile. Right now Rey was portraying that. "Why are you even here." Rey bit out at the two wolves. She hated herself for being rude, and wanted the others to see through it, but what could she do? They will hate me, but emotions are your weaknesses.
Reyas turned away from the males, wishing that they wouldn't take offense, that they would know Rey needed help, not only physically but on the inside. The fae had seen too many terrors, had faced to many tragedies, and was broken inside. A shoulder to cry on was all the beta needed. But it was not what she wanted, and Rey kept her frame stiff and unyielding. She was born a warrior, raised and assassin, and now... an empty shell, free of love. He is still new and no that well known in the pack. And in any ways, she is the Beta, she's the one who doesn't want o show any kind of weakness. Why are you even here? her words came out. | Anslo stiffened at her sharp words. Clearly she didn't want him there. The warrior cast a sideways look to Shield as he spoke, and decided if the other male wanted to stick around he could. The sociable hunter would be more favorable company that he could ever be anyway.
In a curt tone, Anslo replied, "My apologies, beta, I didn't mean to offend you so. I thought looking after each other was something wolves in the same pack did." I guess I was wrong. He wanted to add, but didn't. He was being rude enough.
"I hope you feel better." Anslo said plainly, before turning and heading back to the den. When he got there, the male went once more to his secluded spot and laid down again, resting his heavy head on his paws. He let out a quiet sigh, staring at a oddly shaped rock on the ground, and pondered to himself. He genuinely wished Reyas well, so perhaps he should just give her the space she seemed to want. Anslo didn't wish to anger her further, especially since she held the higher rank, and his continued badgering was probably just going to make things worse. ___ Mentioned: Shield Addressed: Reyas Notes: Anslo's such a great comforter, eh?

She gently waved her tail back and forth, flicking her ears every once in a while. She didn't speak, but rather kept staring out of the den. He can address me if he'd like, it's not my job to start the conversation. Bramble wasn't often for speaking to comfort, but rather just liked to be there just in case. Kind of like a personal heater, that can be turned on if desired.
She took the time to get to notice more of features. Pretty large... Probably could make me drop dead just by barking. At this thought she audible snorted out of her nose. She lightly thumped her tail, though she realized it probably wasn't appropriate with the Pack Drama. She then whined a bit once more, pawing at the dirt.

| The warrior's head rose when Bramble came over to him and took a seat at his side. The female didn't say anything, which was fine with Anslo; her silent company was still nice. He rested his head back down and let his eyes drift around the den for a little while. The elk was still there, but his appetite had been mostly lost at that point.
Beside him, Bramble suddenly snorted, and Anslo looked at her curiously, wondering what she found funny. Then the female pawed at the ground and whined, and Anslo couldn't figure out if she was trying to get his attention or not. I suppose I should talk to her, He thought, it would be rude of me to ignore her presence.
Eventually, after trying many different conversation starters in his head. Anslo settled with asking, "As a fellow newcomer to this land, what do you think of it thus far? | ☿ R E Y A S ☿ The beta's eyes remained closed painfully, both mentally and physically hurting. Don't they understand? I'm meant to be alone. I'm cursed. Reyas knew such talk of magic was silly, but she meant more metaphorically than realistically. Balor was correct. I can't live with the mistakes I've made. "My apologies, beta, I didn't mean to offend you so. I thought looking after each other was something wolves in the same pack did." The name beta stung, but Reyas closed her mind to it. Harden your heart, weakling. Crin's words came flashing back to Rey's mind. "I hope you feel better." Somehow Anslo's kindness and understanding hurt more than an outburst would. Reyas wished he would yell, knock some sense into her. But the warrior was gone, leaving Rey confused, angry, and frustrated.
"We are here for you, Reyas." Shield spoke somewhat quietly, as if he was trying not to get angry. I never asked for you to be there for me. Rey thought back with a mental growl. "I was trained to never leave a member behind." He said. And I was trained to kill whoever couldn't keep up. Reyas thought, images of Balor haunting her head. The beta kept herself from sobbing. She had been tough when she had met Brook. She had stayed tough for near a year with the pack. Every second of every day she had been their unyielding second in command, fierce and strong and worthy. Now Rey was finally breaking. Get yourself together, get up, and pretend nothing is wrong. Go back to the pack and put on a brave face for them. The multicolored fae let out a heavy saddened noise, a cross between a sigh and a sob, fear and desperation. I don't want to be like this, holding everyone else up with my haunting past on my mind.
"You don't know what it's like," Reyas began, her cold tone gone, her aggressiveness dissipated. "This isn't about a cut on my shoulder, or the blood I'm leaking into the creek. This is something deeper than that." Rey slowly turned around, her eyes still closed. "Every day I have to be strong, unbreakable. I'm the "beta"." Rey inclined her head on the word 'beta'. "And they think I'm... hard. A statue." Rey dipped her head, feeling foolish and exposed. "Well, even statues crack."
The last time Reyas had ever talked to someone was... a long time ago. And she didn't like it one bit. She was done seeming weak. Finally opening her emerald optics, Rey stared at Shield. "I'm sorry." Her voice was final, soft, unlike her usual voice, but it had a ring of rarity to it. I shall never speak like that again.... soft... like I care. Reyas thought, her eyes hardening into the beta she was before. I will not be weak. Stepping out of the red stained creek, Reyas shook herself off, and licked her wound. It was slowly coagulating, nothing too serious. Time to get back to the pack. Rey thought, setting her face into a deadly glare. Her body stiffened and the beta of Creekside Shadow walked up the slope slowly, heading back to the pack where she belonged. Mentioned: Anslo, Shield Addressed: Shield Notes: X

| At her words, Shield seemed a bit surprised. You aren't the only one who is needed to be strong, you know. My father was strict and trained me to be an Alpha. But he gave up on me. the bitter words starts to spill out. Just like the rest of my family... everyone except my mother, who was also taken from me. he starts to say when she starts walking away, trying his best to stop her. For years I've kept my emotions to myself, but believe me, does not matter how stubborn you are, it doesn't help a thing! he shuts his mouth waiting for some kind of response. He closes his eyes as flashbacks appear of his father always yelling and his siblings teasing him. He was always the least favorite member, and he fears of taking that position again. Under the flesh and bone lies a broken soul, that only he knew of, and he seemed to think it's the same with her. Mentioned: Reyas Notes: Very sorry for short post, and eeck the emotions are boiling! | |

| "As a fellow newcomer to this land, what do you think of it thus far? I've seen bits of the territory, and it certainly seems like it will make a fine home." Seems like he decided to break the silence. "It's quite nice, compared to other territories I've been through." Bramble laid down beside Anslo, "The game is plenty, and the creek is nice."
Bramble went back to her normal silence, but would occasionally glance at Anslo and the other two. Her ears flicked when she started to hear the female wolf who had left earlier come back. That delicious scent is coming back... Bramble also started to hear Shield approach. Bramble didn't really know how to feel about this situation, so just stayed silent on it all. Just gotta wait and see...
